March - April 2016 "The Blues and Beyond" ExhibitionMy photography exhibition, "The Blues and Beyond" opened at Pendleton Art+Frame in Pendleton on March 10th during an opening reception. New images of landscapes and wildlife close to home (The Blue Mountains/Pendleton area), as well as far away, are featured. Blue Mountain vistas, blue herons, Galapagos sea lions, Antarctic ice, and more. I had a particularly fun time getting this show ready because it is the first time I have included wildlife in my shows, and the first time I have printed images from my Antarctica and Galapagos trips. The show is open through April 30th. Thank you to Cherise and Dena (Pendleton Art+Frame, 36 SW Court Ave., Pendleton) for hosting this show as well as all their continuing support.
2015 The Wild Landscape of Eastern Oregon Juried Photography Exhibit
I got behind with my posts to this blog, but did want to note that in August 2015 I was honored to have three photographs juried into this exhibit at the Josephy Center for Arts and Culture in Joseph, Oregon. I was truly astonished to have "Aspens" awarded first place.

2015 Wallowa Valley Festival of ArtsI was very excited that all of the photographs I submitted were juried into the 2015 Wallowa Valley Festival of Arts in Joseph, Oregon. I was surprised and very honored to be awarded first place. "Waiting" is an image taken in McKay Park (Pendleton, Oregon.) A lone duck was sitting on ice at the edge of the creek
ArtsEast Biennial 2014 Honored Artists Exhibit (June 2015)I thought I would start off this Blog the way my summer started, with an exhibit in LaGrande at the Art Center at the Old Library. Last summer I had two photographs juried into the ArtsEast Artists of Eastern Oregon Biennial 2014 Exhibit. I was one of four artists awarded "Honored Artist" and we had the opportunity to be featured in a subsequent exhibit June 2015. This photograph is of me with the five pieces that were featured in that exhibit.
